This scholarship is aimed at changing the trajectory of Virginia families who have not had access to higher education. Assistance will be awarded to financially disadvantaged students who would be the first of their family to attend college.

Roanoke Baby
The Life Ring Foundation has sponsored the Roanoke Baby book since 2014 to be given complimentary to every baby born at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. In support of literacy education and in partnership with Roanoke Public Libraries, “Roanoke Baby” is now bilingual and has distributed over 23, 282 copies (~2,400 copies per year!).
